YOUR PROBLEM:

Long distance riders experience sore bottoms after a few hours of riding due to various reasons. Riding for days together worsens the problem as your bottom cannot recover as quickly.

OUR SOLUTION:

A comfortable layer on top of the stock seat which is made of Gel + Memory Foam (made and sold in India)

• Orthopedic Gel pads are widely used as a medical appliance for patient comfort - we have customized these for Motorcycle use unlike others
• Memory Foam is well known for superior cushioning and weight distribution
• Just strap it under the seat with the strong Velcro, and ride away. Remove for short distances or commutes while retaining the stock setup

FEATURES AND BENEFITS:

• Gel sheet:
  • What is Gel sheet? – It is a soft co-polymer in semi-solid gel form. Orthopaedic Medical Grade Gel is customized for automotive use. This gel shapes as per the body contact providing equal weight distribution and good shock absorbing property. This means that there are no pressure points developed even over long periods of riding on the motorcycles saddle. Riders will notice less movement required in the saddle to keep finding the sweet spot and the riding day or saddle time progresses.
• Memory foam:
  • What is memory foam? – it is polyurethane with additional chemicals increasing its viscosity and density giving it fast recovery to original shape. This forms the secondary layer in providing comfort and allows a higher conformance to the body shape providing a very snug fit. This layer also prevents the gel sheet from heating up when left exposed to the sun.
• Water resistant cover:
  • The black cover is made of layered cotton and nylon textile. Its exposed surface has medium roughness texture which provides good grip to the user. This ensures there is no unintended movement upon braking or cornering. This cover has a high abrasion property and is weather resistant just like good motorcycle stock seat covers
• Non scratch design:
  • By using soft nylon straps instead of d rings, this attachment does not scratch the fuel tank or any of the colored parts.
• Universal attachment:
  • Four long straps along with the hook and loop have been designed to provide a universal fit. This allows the SofaRider™ to be attached to either a one-piece banana seat or a split seat as found on many modern sport motorcycles. It is also possible to attach the SofaRider™ to saddle bags center straps, providing much comfort to the pillion rider. All 4 straps can be moved in a 90° angle range
• Tail bone notch:
  • Some users report a peculiar back pain which is actually caused by repeated impact to the tail bone. In consultation with an orthopaedic consultant, a carefully designed notch has been cut in the gel and foam. This provides a higher degree of comfort over prolonged use.
• Central seam:
  • The memory foam is compressed in the center with double seams. This forms a thin depressed channel in the center providing air circulation to the rider.
• Easy on the knees:
  • Some riders report reduced knee pain on prolonged rides. This is because the rider is marginally higher in the seat, translating to an increased angle of the knee bend on some sports bikes increasing long distance rider comfort.
• Quality:
  • All raw materials have been sourced from various iso certified manufacturers and finally the product is individually inspected for quality.

Many options have evolved over time to suit all your design and functional requirements.

1. Fixed Strap On ST (Standard Touring 12"x 12") - You install the SofaRider onto the stock seat, and the SofaRider remain there. Suited for Split Seats, but also works for small banana seats
2. Quick Remove (Quick On Quick Off) ST (Standard Touring 12"x 12") - You first install 3 velcro straps onto the stock seat. Then whenever needed just velcro the SofaRider onto these straps. Suited for banana seats
3. Quick Remove (Quick On Quick Off) XLT (Extra Long Touring 12"x 14") - You first install 3 velcro straps onto the stock seat. Then whenever needed just velcro the SofaRider onto these straps. Suited for banana seats. Extra Long.

FAQ:

• Does the SofaRider Strap On move while riding?
  • If attached tightly there is no movement due to the 2" straps
  • Quick On Quick Off my move due to its design
• Can I corner hard?
  • The movement of your bottom needed for hard cornering is not easy with the SofaRider Strap On gel seat - Consider the Stock Seat Modification Service instead if you are a corner carver.
• Does the gel get hot in the sun?
  • The Memory Foam top layer prevents exactly this. But if exposed to the hot sun for a long duration (couple of hours and more), the gel does get hot. You can simply cover the seat with a cloth in such cases.
• Can it be used in the rain?
  • Yes but dry the SofaRider at the end of the day. The gel and foam don't get bad due to water exposure.
• Does the gel melt due to engine heat?
  • The gel is semisolid and can withstand temperatures up to 55'C
• Is it really comfortable
  • Oh yeah! It makes a difference on those long rides.
• What about banana seat and pillion seat
  • Our Universal seat can be used for both. If not, we will customize one for your bike!
